To start adding a local species to your dream, are you currently using a patch with your dream? If you're not, you'll need to start here.
First, you'll need to add a file named "local1.fsh" OR "local2.fsh" (Everyone can use up to 2 local species in their dream. Silver Sponcers can use 4!) into your dream folder that you're wishing to add it to. If you get your avatar patch from somewhere on the internet, there may already be images in there and it may be all ready to use!
If there are no images inside of your local species file, then you'll have to add your own. This is done by erasing the text first. Next you'll copy and paste shapes from another player file, and put them insidein the correct positions. For example, put an image of a sitting furre facing SW in the space where it says sitting SW. (See image below)
- How do I get a Local Speices file?
Click on Start - All programs - Furcadia - Furcadia tools - Furcadia folder. When a box pops up, click on Patches and then on default. Please note: COPY items from your default folder. NEVER alter these files, as they will affect how you see every day Furcadia. Find a file named "local1". Copy this file and then go paste it into the dream folder you're using.
How do I get a local to work in my dream with DS?
Now that you've got your local ready, you need to trigger it inside of your dream, once loaded on Furc. There are MANY different ways you can turn the local species on. Here is an example of one!
These first two lines are set, so that when you say the word "wolf" (you can change the word to whatever you want) it changes them into the local species 1.
(0:31) When a furre says {wolf},
(5:1200) change the triggering furre to localspecies 1.
These last two lines show how you can change furres back to their normal self. Here, when a furre says "normal" it will change them back to whatever their normal species was.
(0:31) When a furre says {normal},
(5:1202) change the triggering furre back to their original species.
